Not once, but twice I've had to fight back from major injuries and illness to keep pursuing the sport I love.

Some might call it crazy, I call it heart.

THE CAR ACCIDENT

August 2009 was a life changing moment when I was hit by an SUV shattering my lower left leg.

They said I would never run again...

Ever heard of pleurisy? What about a pleural effusion? My second battle wasn't as apparent as a compound fracture.

They said my race season was over...

These amazing people believed in me, and helped to race again.
